Dr. Jonah Singer completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Singer enjoys working with patients of all ages and practices evidence-based dentistry to ensure his patients receive the best care possible. Dr. Singer strongly believes in the importance of preventative dentistry and he works closely with his patients to help eliminate access to care barriers, including dental fears and anxiety.

Dr. Singer is a member in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. From a young age Dr. Singer was a competitive hockey player and outside of dentistry he still finds time to play hockey as well as golf. He values family and loves spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Mat Savoie completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at McGill University in 2016. Dr. Mat completed a one-year residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York which allowed him to gain invaluable skills and expertise in dental surgery, the treatment of medically complex patients, and managing of dental emergencies.

Dr. Mat continued his dental career in Saskatoon where his wife Katherine completed medical training as a Pediatrician. During this time, Dr. Mat pursued his passions for continuing education by attending courses at the renowned KOIS institute. It is through this network of clinicians that Dr. Mat was referred to Regal Heights Dental. Dr. Mat’s vision and treatment philosophy along with Regal Heights’ dedication to patient care, treatment modalities, and personality were a perfect fit.

Dr. Mat’s extensive training in cosmetic and implant dentistry and focus on understanding the link between oral health and general well-being will provide you with a holistic treatment strategy tailored to your needs. In his spare time, Dr. Mat likes to play hockey, golf, cook and travel.  Most important of all, Dr. Mat enjoys spending time with his wife, dog Pippa, and is thrilled to be welcoming his first child this summer.

Meet Lisa Michaels. Lisa is the longest standing employee so far. She originally started working with Dr. Ira Schecter in 1984. Over the past 30+ years she has worked as both Receptionist and Office Manager. Lisa currently works part time as the Office Administrator. Lisa keeps things organized and ensures that our office always runs smoothly.

Meet Kira. Kira has been a part of our team for over 5 years now. Kira has worked both as a Dental Assistant and a Receptionist. She is now our Treatment Planning Coordinator. Kira has a vast knowledge about the dental field and has been trained in biological dentistry. Kira will walk any new patient through their treatment process and will answer any questions along the way. Since we individualize treatment for our patients, Kira will ensure that each patient is provided with the best possible care and course of action.

Lucina has been with our team for over 2 years. She is a valuable member of our team and is liked by all. She is always positive and makes our patients feel comfortable during their visit. She is very knowledgeable in the dental field and follows the practices of biological dentistry.

Meet Pam Stevens. Pam graduated from George Brown Dental Hygiene School and is an extremely experienced hygienist. Pam has been working with us for 30 years. She is one of our longest serving staff member and has been working with Dr. Ira Schecter since he opened his practice.

Pam is loyal and dedicated to her patients and is always up for good conversation, making you laugh in her chair (even if she is cleaning your mouth) and takes pride in her job.

Dr. Bertha Luk grew up in Toronto and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto, where she received a scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. As an undergraduate, she studied Biological and Medical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, where she was consistently named on the Dean’s Honour List with High Distinction.

In practice, Dr. Luk focuses on building genuine relationships with her patients and transforming smiles. Easing dental anxieties and helping each adult or child feel comfortable in the chair is what her patients come back to her for. She takes her time to understand individual priorities, concerns, and constraints, making sure that her patients are actively involved in all decisions to achieve a desired outcome. Dr. Luk has advanced training in Invisalign, Veneers, Therapeutic Botox, and Implant restorations. She is also certified in Nitrous Oxide sedation and takes a special interest in Pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Stephen Wasserman BSc, DDS graduated from the University of Toronto. He’s been practicing since 1975 and has 42 years experience in the field to draw from. With years of practicing as a general practitioner, Stephen’s core values are centred around treating each individual patient’s dental health according to their own unique requirements. He has always had a passion for holistic wellness and natural dental care practices.

He believes that the key to overall wellness is to optimize the balance between oral and systemic health. Stephen loves to incorporate applied kinesiology into his practice. This is a painless, energy system test that aids in diagnosis of the mouth and entire body. He also is certified through the World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI) in laser dentistry.

In addition, Stephen has completed Postgraduate studies at the University of Buffalo Cosmetic Program, Millennium Aesthetic Institute, and the Canadian Institute for Cosmetic Dental Education (CICDE).
Stephen’s strong appreciation for integrative healing modalities include chiropractic, osteopathic, and naturopathic disciplines for health and preventative maintenance. He’s a keen advocate for a strong nutritional foundation for daily health and wellness.

Stephen personally follows what he advocates by starting each day with a superfood smoothie for optimal vitality and mental clarity. Stephen’s warm, friendly and welcoming presence emanates with each patient. He treats everyone with respect, kindness and the utmost care for their wellbeing. Outside of the clinic you can find Stephen enjoying   time with his family oroutdoors on the golf course.
