How it works

Three steps for your first visit.

01

Before you arrive

Gather your medication list, insurance or CDCP details and recent dental records if available. Complete forms through the clinic’s approved process.

02

At the visit

Your appointment may include a discussion, clinical examination, gum assessment and selected imaging based on need. Tell us what matters most to you.

03

After assessment

We’ll explain findings, priorities and reasonable options. A written estimate or preauthorization may be needed before treatment.

Planning your care

Your first visit creates a baseline.

The appropriate appointment length and records depend on the reason for your visit. A comprehensive visit may review your teeth, gums, bite, oral tissues and relevant health history.

Digital X-rays are selected according to need—being a new patient does not automatically mean every image must be repeated.

Good to know

Prepare with confidence.

Transferring from another dentist

Request that existing records and recent diagnostic images be transferred through a secure process. Records help with history, but your new dentist still decides whether additional information is needed.

Estimates and priorities

If several needs are identified, ask which are urgent, which can be monitored and how care can be staged. A written estimate clarifies fees and expected insurance or CDCP contribution.

Accessibility and dental anxiety

Tell the team when booking about mobility, communication, sensory or anxiety-related needs so appointment timing, access and support can be discussed.

Forms & privacy

Bring what helps. Protect what is sensitive.

A legacy new-patient form PDF remains available. Contact the clinic if you need help with forms or transferring records.

Do not send sensitive personal health information through ordinary email or the general appointment form. Contact the clinic for the approved method to transfer records.
