About Takayoshi Munemoto

Takayoshi Munemoto—often called Taka—is an acupuncturist with training in manual therapy and craniosacral therapy. His approach integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine and osteopathic concepts for patients who need support with muscle tension around dental care.

He works with dental patients on TMJ-related tension, chronic headaches, and muscle tension before and after dental procedures. He is also a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner in North America and educates patients on more efficient movement to ease chronic pain, drawing on neuroplasticity principles to support quality of life.

Eligible acupuncture or registered massage therapy (RMT) visits may be covered by some extended health plans. Confirm your provider type, coverage and receipts with your insurer before booking. Complementary care does not replace a dental diagnosis, imaging, conventional treatment or medical assessment when those are needed.

How this care fits with dentistry

Takayoshi Munemoto provides complementary care alongside—not instead of—dental assessment. Jaw pain, tooth pain, swelling, trauma or a sudden change in bite still need appropriate dental or medical evaluation. Complementary sessions cannot diagnose decay, infection, cracked teeth or joint pathology.

Insurance and booking

Some extended health plans cover eligible acupuncture or RMT visits when the provider’s regulated title matches the plan rules. CDCP should not be assumed to cover complementary care. Ask the clinic about availability, fees, receipts and whether a preferred provider request can be accommodated.
